A storyboard is a series of images or illustrations that depicts the plot, characters, and environments of a film, animation, or other visual medium before production begins. In order to better conceptualize and plan out the many shots and scenarios that will be included in a production, storyboards are a vital tool utilized by writers, directors, and animators.
